MARIA! is an episodic series that follows seventeen year old, Maria, a catholic high school student, and her friend group. It is a coming-of-age journey, in which Maria deals with her relationship with her family, heritage, religion, love, friends, and self. It is a comedic drama with elements of surrealism and artistic freedom. It is heavily soundtracked and cinematographic, every detail of colors, characters, and names, with higher symbolic value. In MARIA!, nothing happens and everything happens, as it is overall a dramatized but true reflection of a teenage girl to adult’s life.

It is still very in the works, but here I’ve included a series outline and even a season outline, as the series is planned way ahead, with each season building on the other.

In brief, seasons mostly follow Maria’s school years. Season 1 takes place fall and winter of Maria’s junior year, Season 2 is her senior year summer, Season 3 is her freshman and sophomore year of college, Season 4 is her junior year and finally Season 5 is her senior year and graduation.
